    What is Aspirator

A medical aspirator is a suction machine used to remove mucus and other bodily fluids from a patient with a certain rate(generally between 5-100 L /min). These machines are often designed to be portable for use in ambulances and nursing homes. They transfer fluids to a glass or plastic tanks with 2, 3 or 5 L capacity. They may have 2 different tanks.
Aspirators can be used for long time proccesses with constant aspiration rate.

    Usage Area of Aspirator

Aspirators are used in ICUs, Operation Rooms, Emergency Rooms for every application requires aspiration. They can also be used for thorax surgey, abdominal surgery and post up cases.

    Basic Components of Aspirator

    Electrically driven vacuum pump
    Tanks for Fluids
    Connector Hose(s)
    Security System
    Vacuum Pressure Set Button
    Filters for liquid and microorganisms

    Working Principle of Aspirator

Aspirators usually use a Piston-cylinder type or rotary type Vacuum Pump. In the aspirator, the scale is closed with a glass tank, the mouth of the tank, a specially made airtight rubber cover that can be removed if desired. Connective hoses and aspiration probes are used to transfer liquids and foreign substances that accumulate in the body cavities of the patient through the holes in the rubber lid and into the tank with the help of metal parts at the ends. On the aspirator device there is also a pressure gauge showing vacuum (negative pressure) level.

    Instructions for Aspirator

Turn aspirator ON Set vacuum level for intended use and check manometer Tanks must be cleaned periodically

    Warnings for Aspirator

Before and after use, relevant parts of machine must be cleaned and disinfected.
Periodical electronic and mechanic maintenances are neccesary
Auditory and visual alarms must be folowed and taken seriously.
Keep explosives and combustibles out of the machine
